Call for Presenters – HackEd Happy Hour: Classroom Management K-6!

Are you filled with creative ideas for managing K-6 classrooms?  Do you love the idea of sharing them with your colleagues?  You are exactly who we are looking for to present at HackED Happy Hour – Classroom Management K-6!

Teachers Growing Teachers, Inc. proudly announces this inaugural event, which will take place on January 16, 2020, from 4:00-6:00 pm.

HackED Happy Hour is a unique professional development format – a cross between a TED-style talk and speed dating! We are looking for creative educators to share the latest and greatest classroom management “tips and tricks” that are tried and true, and bit unique, with colleagues. All speakers will have about 5 minutes on the stage in a very funky venue in East Meadow, NY. Your presentation can include slides and/or tangible items to illustrate your classroom management idea.

Before and after you present, enjoy the rest of the event as a member of the audience. All presenters and participants will receive a coupon for a free glass of wine or a delicious appetizer…sip and nibble while you learn! Network with colleagues, gain speaking experience, and become part of the Teachers Growing Teachers family (We are an approved NYS CTLE provider).

If you are interested in being a presenter, please submit your information to the co-directors, Randee Bonagura and Jessica Zimmer, using this form:

The Call for Presenters closes November 15th at 9:00 pm. Everyone who applies to be a speaker will hear from Randee and Jessica by November 24th. All selected speakers will be eligible to purchase their tickets to the event at a discounted rate of $20.

Sounds exciting and you’d like to attend, but not present? General Admission tickets are $40 and are available now on Eventbrite using this link:

TEDXFarmingdale Talk

In September 2019, Randee Bonagura, co-director, spoke at TEDxFarmingdale. She added to the “Fixing the World” theme by encouraging the audience to bring books to their neighborhood with Little Free Libraries. (We’ll post the Talk as soon as it is finished in post-production!)
